The coming complete digitalization of television creates an exciting challenge for the suppliers of program listing data. With today’s 50 free channels and countless pay-TV offerings, viewers already face an almost unmanageable variety of choices. Adding to this, the development of new broadcasting technologies, such as IP-based television, has further increased the number of available channels and special interest programs and this will continue to grow.
