Jörg Jacob brings new strength to pps print services team

Effective immediately, Jörg Jacob (41) joins the sales & distribution team at Presse-Programm-Service GmbH (pps), Berlin, the leading producer and supplier of television program information in German-speaking Europe. Jacob will assume responsibility for sales and marketing in print media – pps’s largest business segment. More than 100 daily newspapers, program guides, and TV supplements, both here and abroad, rely on the services of pps, be it for the supply of program listing data or the complete graphic and editorial production of TV program listings pages. Jörg Jacob will report directly to Michael Medelin, director of sales and marketing at pps.

Mr. Jacob is a proven professional in print publishing and a specialist in sales and distribution. He draws on extensive experience in the areas of editorial, typesetting and layout, and production as well as on earlier marketing and sales experience. He served as team and project leader as well as production manager for standard dailies at Berliner TVsetZEN GmbH and while serving in various positions in the music industry oversaw the conception, manufacturing, and marketing of recordings for Polygram and the City Slang label, among others.

Services range from the basic delivery of TV listings data and editorial services to the implementation and operation of customized content management systems, development and supervision of production services, as well as quality management of customer processes. pps continues to see growth in the printed media as well as in the demand for new solutions in the digital media with the provision of program information data or complete electronic program guides (EPG) for Internet, digital television, and mobile.
